Lovely hotel with great staff,rooms were clean and tidy.The breakfast in the morning was one of the best i have ever had and the lady that served us was brilliant she couldn't do enough for us and my dog.As for the bar staff again the service was great, will definitely return for our fourth visit as it is one of the best hotels in the area.
Old style pub with rooms upstairs. I love the place. Not for those with disabilities on my opinion due to narrow hallways which would be tough in a wheelchair. If you want meals book your time dlot in advance. This hotel is remote, not much else here. 45 min drive yo Braemar even when weather is good. Not for young kids. Clientele seems mostly older car touring the Cairngorms. Pitlochrie and Braemar are both less than an hour away and have far more going for them in terms of activity. This place is about rustic, historic charm. I would stay again.
Brilliant hotel with big car park, pretty interior, really good food and very helpful and organised staff. Perfect location for those wanting to stay anywhere along the A93. Stayed here for 2 nights for weekend skiing at Glenshee Ski Centre which makes the whole trip so much easier. Highly recommend this stay!
At first I didn't like the hotel, I thought it's old and worn out, but after one night I appreciated comfy bed and quiet environment, then I had lovely breakfast, encountered lovely staff and people there, and I discovered place's magic and history. I recommend to stay there and experience the vibe.
Lovely place to stay, we had a power cut unfortunately but the staff did their very best under the circumstances. Our stay was cut short as a result but would definitely stay again.
